Supreme W. Court?

SCOTUS will rule on several cases this month, which will signal either thumbs up or thumbs down to some of Caesar's George W. Bush's controversial policies.

The most notable cases to be decided in June answer the following questions:

Should the US be able to hold foreigners in the military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, outside the reach of US courts?

Should the pResident and his military commanders have the power to arrest and hold indefinitely Americans as "enemy combatants?"

Should US agents have the power to arrest foreigners abroad?

Should the police be able to skip the Miranda warning while "interviewing" a 17 year old suspect for over 2 hours, separated from his parents and held in a small interrogation room just because the boy "should have known that he could have terminated the interview at any time?"

Should Vice pResident Dick Cheney be allowed to keep his Energy Policy Task Force dealings and members secret?

Should the pResident be allowed to clear the way for unregulated US access to foreign truckers (from Mexico)?

Should environmentalists be allowed to sue, in order to block the administration from allowing off-road vehicles to operate in national wilderness areas?

Should the US return to the original wording of The Pledge of Allegiance by removing the words "under God?"

To quote the notable philosopher,Willy Wonka...

The suspense is killing me. I hope it lasts.

The Baltimore Sun has a synopsis of the upcoming SCOTUS rulings in newsspeak paragraph form. Personally, I prefer stating the obvious in question form. That way, when SCOTUS says it's fine to do despicable things to people and fine to force one religion on an entire population, the answer to the question can't hide behind convoluted logic.

If we all keep asking important questions, perhaps someone... someday... will be obligated to answer them.
