Cheney: Shoot the Quail or the Lawyer? Hmmm...

You can't make this stuff up.

The Vice President of the United States shot a man in the face and neck on Saturday.

No police report was issued.

The VP's office issued no public statement.

The Vice President's personal ambulance crew was there, of course... in case the gun-toting VP had another of his numerous heart attacks and/or heart-related "episodes."

No police report was issued.

The VP's office issued no public statement.

The victim, a 78-year-old Funeralgate lawyer, was airlifted to Corpus Christi's intensive care unit.

No police report was issued.

The VP's office issued no public statement.

The owner of the ranch notified her favorite reporter Sunday afternoon, who wrote the story and tried to get a public statement from the VP's office.

The police did not answer the phone when reporters started calling.

has the details.

Don't hospitals have to file official accident reports or face prosecution?

Don't the police have to file gun-related accident reports or face prosecution?

What country are we living in? The United States of Dick Cheney?

Saw the Funeralgate link. Not surprised they tried to hide the incident.

Heard many stories about the shooting, but nothing about the desecrated bodies except here. "Liberal media", my ass.

You may want to check out the new spying program called ADVISE. So far I've only seen an article in Christian Science Monitor, but it makes the NSA spying seem tame in comparison.

I like the way the Cons are saying that a man in intensive care is okay.

Cheney is the second VP to shot someone. The first was Aron Burr. May Cheney suffer the same fate.
