George W. Bush's Final Solution?
To make concentration camps acceptable to the populace, Jews in Germany were branded as criminals, Asians in Australia were branded as criminals, and immigrants in the US are now being branded as criminals...
Halliburton is building the camps. On American soil.
Have we learned nothing from history?
In the next few weeks, the US government will open concentration camps. These will house, initially, undocumented immigrants - including entire families - possibly indefinitely. Michael Chertoff claims that these will be "humane" camps, but that "we're not going to let people get away with this."
60 years after the last civilian concentration camps in the U.S. closed, 60 years after U.S. troops liberated Nazi death camps, the U.S. government has embarked on a massive expansion of the use of concentration camps, of various kinds, to deal with anyone it considers to be unpalatable. How did we get here? How have recent concentration camps worked around the world? And what might be the future of this policy - and this country - if we do not vehemently demand an end to such horrific tactics?
About 2 million families face the risk of being split up because the children are U.S.-born citizens but the parents are illegal immigrants. At least one lawmaker has proposed ending citizenship by birthright, restricting automatic citizenship at birth to children of U.S. citizens and legal residents.
Far
We've been traveling far
Without a home
But not without a star
Free
Only want to be free
We huddle close
Hang on to a dream
On the boats and on the planes
They're coming to America
Never looking back again
They're coming to America
Home, don't it seem so far away
Oh, we're traveling light today
In the eye of the storm
In the eye of the storm
Home, to a new and a shiny place
Make our bed, and we'll say our grace
Freedom's light burning warm
Freedom's light burning warm
Everywhere around the world
They're coming to America
Every time that flag's unfurled
They're coming to America
Got a dream to take them there
They're coming to America
Got a dream they've come to share
They're coming to America
They're coming to America
They're coming to America
They're coming to America
They're coming to America
Today, today, today, today, today
My country 'tis of thee
(Today)
Sweet land of liberty
(today)
Of thee I sing
(today)
Of thee I sing
(today)
We've been traveling far
Without a home
But not without a star
Free

Alas, America.
So you think you know Delilah?
Judges 16:19-- And she made him (Samson) sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head.

The New Colossus
Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame,
"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore,
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
by Emma Lazarus, New York City, 1883
As I'm sure you know, the USA has only 4.6% of World's Population yet we have 23% of World's Prison Population.
These camps will help ensure our continued dominance in the area of incarceration.
USA! USA! USA!
