Maundy Thursday Musings

George W. Bush wailed this week because congress is in recess (after working its first 5-day weeks since Bush's Repub party took control).

Then Bush left DC for his vacation in Texas.

George W. Bush attacked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for going to Syria... after sending a Repub congressional group there with his blessings. Oh, and... remember Denny Hastert's foreign trip?

And George W. Bush wants an Iraq supplementary bill sent to him sans pork. Funny, he never demanded that from his own party: "Bridge to nowhere" ring any bells?

Mandatum novum do vobis ut diligatis invicem sicut dilexi vos.

Somebody needs to teach George W. Bush about his own (professed) religion. "Me, me, me" isn't exactly the lesson taught by the carpenter on this holy day.

Truly heavy sigh.

My church is holding a Seder/foot washing tonight. It seems to be the beginning of a tradition.

I was going to try to write a short post and would like to use the picture please.

GWB. The only consolation about almost 2 more years is that it's only 2 more years and the tide may be turning slowly. Or am I too optimistic?

Best wishes and a blessed Easter to you.
