When Army Chief Thomas White resigned because of the Enron scandal, his assistant also resigned.

Bush STILL hasn't replaced these people...so the whole Army has only "acting" chiefs...
DURING A TWO-FRONT WAR.

Not only that, but no one seems to want White's old job:

Gen. Peter Schoomaker, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld's surprise choice to be chief of staff of the Army, will assume his job with the Army's trust and respect, something which James Roche, Rumsfeld's surprise pick to be secretary of the Army, will have to earn.

Rumsfeld selected Schoomaker after his first two choices -- Gen. John Keane, the Army's vice chief of staff, and Gen. Tommy Franks, commander of U.S. Central Command and the architect of victory in Iraq -- turned down the job.

He has both heavy and light conventional experiences, and experience, which probably will be refreshing for the Army."

Also, the CIA has now lost its chief, as well as his top assistant.

So many rats have already deserted (or have been pushed off the plank by) this so-called NATIONAL SECURITY pRESIDENT that I'll be forced to smirk^® when Bush tries to win votes in the next four months by telling Americans how safe he's made them.

Am I the only wondering if the 9/11 terrorists were successful because they knew how Cheney-ed Up this administration was?
