Obama Sees Dead People!

Obama's gaffes are enough to make you cringe, but this one, delivered with a straight face on Memorial Day in New Mexico, is the creepiest so far:

"On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes -- and I see many of them in the audience here today -- our sense of patriotism is particularly strong."

Maybe Obama was M. Night Shyamalan's inspiration for that kid in The Sixth Sense.

If not, Obama needs to learn why Memorial Day is not about people he's talking to.

Is it possible that the term "unbroken line" refered to the line of survivors who continue to carry on the legacy. While Memorial Day typically focuses entirely on memorializing the "dead", is it also possible that living heroes could be honored as well? Or, perhaps he just meant to acknowledge those veterans in the crowd who dedicated their service to this country. Either way, what really is the controversy here? Particularly, since he did appropriately address the "fallen heroes" in his presentation.
